Sculptra Injections | Buckeye, AZ
The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved Sculptra (injectable poly-L-lactate) for the restoration and/or correction of the signs of facial fat loss (lipoatrophy) in people with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). Facial is the loss of fat beneath your skin, which can lead to sunken cheeks, indentations, and hollow eyes. Lipoatrophy is frequent among HIV patients.
What is Sculptra?
Sculptra is a synthetic and biocompatible material that is injected below the surface of your skin in the area of weight loss. Sculptra includes microparticle beads of poly-L-amlactin, a biocompatible, biodegradable, synthetic polymer in the alpha-hydroxy-acid family. Sculptra offers a significant and gradual increase in skin thickness, improving the appearance of folds and sunken areas.
Observable results from Sculptra injections appear in the first few treatment sessions. Generally, 3 to 6 periods are conducted and added touch-up treatment might be needed. Over time, the beads breakdown and may be replaced with natural collagen. For most people who participated in a medical study, the cure results continued for as much as two years following the very first treatment session. Evaluations will be done two weeks or more after therapy to find out if additional shots are required.
Sculptra fillers shouldn't be utilized by those of US who are allergic to any ingredient of Sculptra. While there's an infection or inflammation in the therapy region Sculptra shouldn't be injected.
